The Prospect Italian Bistro is committed to keep its workers and customers safe during this public health emergency (COVID-19 pandemic). We are happy to inform all our customers that we will be opening on the 4th of July 2020, even though we will need to embrace some new precautions.

We are fully committed to follow the HM Goverment COVID-19 secure guidance to ensure our service is as safe as possible. That includes:

  • The provision of disposable menus

  • The creation of several hand sanitising points in the premise

  • The maintenance of distance between customers and within staff by providing clear guidance.

  • Rearranging tables in order to ensure at least 1m of social distance

  • Checking that our toilets are sanitised every hour

  • Bringing the bill at the designated tables to be paid

  • Bringing all the condiments/cutlery needed to the designated tables

  • Bringing all the drink/food at the table (only).

  • Creating a new seating area in the pub in order to avoid congestion.

We welcome up to two households (or support bubbles) as a group indoors/outdoors as requested by the government whilst outdoors (our beer garden), we can additionally include up to six people from different households as a group. Sadly we cannot accommodate more than/ two households of over 30 people yet.

Additionally, we gently ask our customers to:

  • Assess their own well-being and stay at home if they feel unwell.

  • Use our provided hand sanitisers found on our designated points

  • Frequently wash your hands to reduce risk of transmission

  • Maintain social distance during the time spent in our premise (2m, or 1m when it is not viable)

  • Follow the guidance presented within the premise

  • Support the NHS Test & Trace by providing some information (such as your name, phone number and address) when entering in our premise (your records will be used only for this purpose and kept safely for 21 days only).

  • Queue at the entrance and wait to be seated by our staff members

  • Supervise your own children at all times to ensure social distancing

Additional notes to be aware of:

  • The police/local authorities may enforce requirements in relation to social distancing and may instruct customers to disperse, leave an area, issue a fixed penalty notice or take further enforcement action.

  • Please be prepared to remove face coverings safely if asked to do so by police officers and staff for identification purposes

We understand that this implementation could change our usual routine, however we hope our customers appreciate our dedicated efforts to keep everyone safe.

Thanks again,

The Prospect.
